What in StarClan is she doing? She shouldn't do this. She shouldn't be here. I don't want to lose her! Shaking her fur, feeling her muscles ripple under her pelt, she took one last breath, before lunging for the fox, her claws hooking onto its left shoulder, then throwing her weight to the ground, dragging the fox with her viciously. The fox landed on her leg, and she swallowed a yowl of pain as the fox yipped in agony.

Rainfeather

WIthout a second thought Rainfeather pulled her sister out of the way, sizing up the fox. Her throat rumbled as she leapt at the fox's throat. The thick liquid rushed through Rains teeth and down her throat. She pulled herself into the chest of of the fox and latched on digging and biting harshly at the beast.

A bit indignant that her sister pulled her away from her move, she quickly formed another plot, scrabbling on top of the fox's shoulders. She latched her claws into its shoulders for support, then bit into the fox's ear, yanking its head away from where it aimed to bite Rainfeather. Just as quickly as she did this, the fox retaliated; it dropped onto its stomach, then proceeded to barrel roll on top of Fadedlight's body, twisting her foot at an awkward angle.

-Flashback-
"Wildlight!" Fadedpaw yelped, as the fox rolled on top of her. She mindlessly flung herself onto the beast's exposed stomach, squishing Wildlight even more, sparking a yelp from the young warrior. As Fadedpaw ripped into the fox's white underbelly - hooking no more than fur - the creature dipped its head, latching its dirty fangs into Fadedpaw's ear. As Fadedpaw jerked away, some of her ear stayed in the fox's mouth, and Fadedpaw felt sticky liquid run down her ear with a stinging pain. The fox leaped up, and so did Wildlight, who was now limping. The fox must've landed on her paw... Fadedpaw considered, her moment's distraction proving to be fateful, as the fox leaped onto the apprentice, sinking its teeth into her ear once more, digging the slit in the side deeper.
-Reality-

Fadedlight's ear stung in the wound as she relived those moments in her head.

Rainfeather

Medicine Cat
Rainfeather leapt out of the way as the beast rolled into the old tree. I flinched as silence filled the air. "Faded?" She whimpered nearing the beast, "Faded?"

Rain gulped, she didn't want to lose her sister, her friend her last piece of sanity in this cruel world. "Fadedlight?" Rain called again leaping onto the tree.

The sound of Rainfeather's voice inspired Fadedlight - reminding her that she wasn't just doing this for her. Giving the smug fox a hefty shove, she threw the beast off of her. "I'm good." Fadedlight reassured, testing weight on her paw that had been crushed as the fox rolled, wincing in pain as she did. The fox spun back to face them, hatred burning in its eyes. "Ready?" Fadedlight asked as the beast flicked its tail prepping an attack.

"Heh, You bet sis" Rain said siding with her sister, a slight smirk on her face. The she-cat readied herself on the ground, Suddenly a new scent brushed past the she-cat. She relaxed her mussels then swiftly glancing around, searching for the owner or such scent. "Fadedlight.... Do you know who's scent that is?"

Fadedlight barely had time to breath in the scent before the vermin lunged at the pair again, snapping at Fadedlight who just barely had time to leap out of the way. The fox grumpily sat back with a mouth full of silver fur. Fadedlight winced as she landed on her injured paw. The last time she sprained a paw wasn't that long ago and wasn't under very different circumstances. Biting her tongue to silence a yowl of pain, Faded staggered to her feet.

Having needed some time to himself, Onyx had headed out of camp and had spent a long time wandering ShadowClan's territory. Navigating the familiar terrain always managed to produce a peaceful feeling in the tom. Just going wherever his paws took him, he was able to clear his head and think or just exist. But his moment of peace was interrupted.

Mouth full of a lizard he had caught earlier, the smokey coon's ears swiveled towards the sound of a fight. Is another clan attacking? Is someone hurt? These and more questions rushed through his head but never one to allow anything to go on without checking up on it, he rapidly made his way through the underbrush towards where the sounds of the fight became louder and louder. He stumbled upon the sight soon enough.

Near the Burnt Sycamore he made out the familiar pelts of Rainfeather and FadedLight and just beyond the rusty color of a fox. He paused for a breath, looking over the two she cats and the fox. FadedLight looked injured and he worried RainFeather would be severely injured if she tried to fight the fox on her own. Onyx decided his interference was not only helpful but necessary at this stage.

Creeping through the underbrush in hopes of surprising the fox and distracting it, he crept around until he was positioned behind RainFeather and FadedLight, the fox straight across from him. It snapped at FadedLight and as soon as the two were apart, Onyx leaped forward from his spot and rushed the fox. The coon was a large cat, not as big as the fox but hefty enough to barrel into it, claws outstretched and knock it over in a tangle of claws and teeth. Finding himself beneath the fox, OnyxStar dragged his back legs over its stomach, sinking his thorn-sharp claws deeply into it. The fox yelped, already tired from its fight with Rainfeather and FadedLight it was starting to weaken.

But the fox would not be leaving, not when it had harmed the ShadowClan medicine cat and deputy. Surging upwards the smokey tom clenched his jaw at the fox's throat and bit down as hard as he could. The creature leaped and struggled, bucked and wriggled but Onyx held on until he felt the fox sink to the ground.

He let go when it stopped moving, backed away when it gasped a final breath. OnyxStar spat the taste of fox blood out of his mouth before turning on the two she-cats. "Are you two well?," he inquired immediately, searching them over for worse damage than he could see.

{OOC || Sorry that took so long - my muse has been really low as of late}

"Are you two well?"

Rainfeather gasped, breathing heavily. The she-cat took a moment, closing her eyes and softly rocking herself before she spoke. Something had hit Rain harshly and she had not know what.

Rain gulped, trying to get the words out of her throat. "Ya" She said in a raspy voice. The she-cat lowered herself on the ground and began to breathe deeply. Everything shook around her and her legs grew weak within the seconds. She fought back the tiredness and looked towards her sister.

"Faded, Are you ok?" She asked, turning to the she-cat.

Relief swamped over as the familiar pelt of Onyxstar arrived to save the day, striking the fox down. Gasping for air, Fadedlight staggered slightly before regaining her balance. Turning to Rainfeather, she nodded in response to both her and Onnie's question. "Sprained paw, couple scratches, a bite or two, maybe a pulled muscle. Nothing I haven't had before." she shrugged, wincing slightly. "Thanks, Onyx."
